boatAt the weekend I took part in Race for Life. This is the UK’s largest women only fundraising event in order to raise money for Cancer Research. It is likely every single one of us will know someone who has or has had the diagnosis and many of us will have a story to tell.

Set admist the stunning grounds of Tatton Park in Knutsford in glorious sunshine more than 3,500 ladies took part in mixed ability races: 10k; 5k; joggers and walkers. I did the 5k race and came in at a respectable 32 mins and in doing so raised over £160 so a huge big thank you to all my sponsors.

Whilst running the course I found it so touching to read all the notes pinned to the t-shirts dedicated to loved ones. A definite one for the diary next year and if the training goes well I will aim for the 10k!

Well done Lisa. A great time and a great cause. We would like to sponsor you if you could provide a link to JustGiving. Best regards, all at Ultimate!

Thanks a million. I didn’t have a JustGiving page I filled in a sponsor form which has now been sent in. However, if you would like to make a donation directly please go to http://www.raceforlife.org/fundraise/make-a-donation.aspx and follow the simple instructions. Thanks again for your support.
