Clay pigeon shoot proves a hit with professionals
1st June 2010
Xentum's first foray into clay pigeon shooting went with a bang when Dominic and Kate Baldwin hosted their first event in the grounds of their Knutsford home.
Over 20 professionals from Manchester's legal and financial community attended the social shoot on one of the hottest days of the year to date. The heat didn't wilt their enthusiasm with Dominic's brother Lieutenant Colonel Ben Baldwin OBE leading four teams to take 50 shots across four specially designed stations.
Richard Cunningham from Wellington Guscott was victorious in claiming the most hits followed closely by Andy Wood from Grant Thornton. The overall winning team, The Ptarmigans, led by Andy Wood included Peter Botham,
Liz Braude, Matthew Townsend and Julian Lowe.
Dominic said: "The day was a great success with plenty of lively banter and healthy competition amongst the groups. There were a few sore shoulders but the sun more than made up for a few aching joints."
